- ABOUT THE ARTIST
- ARTIST'S WORK
I was born in Tbilisi on May 7, 1966. Since childhood, I loved to draw. My neighbor, the Honored Artist of Georgia, Fedor Pavlovich Sergeenko, invited me to his studio, where I began my artistic journey.
From an early age, I was equally drawn to both painting and fashion design. In 1985, I enrolled in the Faculty of Fashion Modeling at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. Already by 1986, I began working as a fashion designer at the youth fashion house "Akhalgazrduili." My career in the fashion industry flourished — during my studies and after graduation, I participated in numerous fashion shows both in Georgia and abroad.
Yet painting remained my true calling. In 2007, I fully returned to art. My first solo exhibition was held in Tbilisi in 2008, followed by many group exhibitions. After years of creative exploration, my second solo exhibition took place in 2024, once again in Tbilisi.
I have a deep love for still life compositions, especially with flowers. Since 2013, I have been an active participant in international plein air events, where meeting artists from around the world inspires new emotions and insights. Despite our differences, we are united by a shared love for art and beauty.
"I strive to see beauty, light, and kindness in everything. Viewers can always feel the sincerity of the artist — they are most drawn to paintings where the artist has poured their soul."
In the past, it was hard for me to part with my works, but today I believe paintings must continue their journey, living on in the homes of those who love them.
My artworks are held in the museum collections of Georgia, Armenia, Lithuania, and Russia, as well as in private collections in Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, the USA, France, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Israel, and other countries.
